Coordinator of Music Information Technology
Andrew Hamer is the Music Technology Coordinator for the School of Music at TCU. He received his Bachelor of Science in Film Television & Digital Media at TCU in 2005.
While at TCU, he marched in the Horned Frog Marching Band for three years and founded the comedy-focused student organization - Senseless Acts of Comedy. After graduation, he moved to Chicago to study improvisation and comedy writing at the Second City Conservatory and Improv Olympic. After which time, he spent a year in Los Angeles studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. During this time he also served in technological roles, working for The Art Institute of Chicago and Apple.
After moving back to Texas in 2010, Andrew returned to TCU as an employee with the department of Information Technology, where he worked until transitioning to his role within the School of Music in the Fall of 2012. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys performing comedy and writing. Andrew was recently hired into the cast of Four Day Weekend, where he performs every Friday and Saturday night in downtown Fort Worth.
